I would first like to thank Vishwasrao Patil for writing this book(one of the black day in Maratha history rather Indian history).Once you start reading this book you can't feel like keeping it down.Author really takes us through Delhi, Panipat,Antervedh.Undoubtedly the Bhau is hero of this book but you can't forget Najib rohilla.Without whom Panipat was impossible. This is an excellent novel on the third war at Paanipat and much close to the reality t han any other novels on the same subject. Author did a lot of research before writing the same and it is reflected in the novel. The minute details about the people and traditions at that time paint vivid picture of the eighteenth century life in Bharat and makes a reading experience an enjoyable one. The novel can be rated as one of the most prolific yet delightful works in Marathi literature; very few novels like Mrutunjay or Chhava would probably fit the same description.
