Synopsis:
प्रभावळकरांचा विनोद हा गुदगुल्या करणारा आहे. गालातल्या गालात हसवत प्रसन्न करणारा आहे. तो चिमटे काढतो, पण हवेहवेसे. स्वत:लाच टपली मारून हसण्याचा लोभस मोकळेपणा त्यांच्यापाशी आहे. या विनोदाचं वैशिष्ट्य हेच की तो कुठलीही झूल अंगावर घेत नाही, कुठल्याही भिंगाचा चश्मा डोळ्यावर चढवत नाही की, विदुषकी पोझ घेत नाही. तो निसर्गत:च उमळून येतो आणि आपल्या संवेदनांना आवाहन करतो.
"झूममधील लेखांचं एक सूत्र शोधायचं झालं तर 'मी व माझे कलाजीवन' यावरील हे लेख आहेत असं ढोबळपणे म्हणता येईल. कलाजीवन म्हणजे कलाजीवनातल्या घटना.बर्‍याचशा गमतीदार, पण काही हळवं करणार्‍या आणि 'मी' म्हणजे 'मी स्वत:' आणि माझ्यावर प्रभाव टाकणार्‍या, या ना त्या कारणाने जवळ आलेल्या व्यक्ती. जवळ येऊन मग दूर गेलेल्या. दूर जाऊनही जवळ राहिलेल्या.
