Download Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati fonts for both Windows and Unix for
viewing this site.
- Windows 95/98/NT Detailed Instructions
- Download fonts - shusha.zip
- Unzip the file using a program like Winzip into
a directory e.g. C:\shusha.
- In Windows, click on Start. Then select settings and then Control Panel. In the
Control Panel window you will find an icon named Fonts. Double click on it. It will
open a new window. Go to File menu and select Install New Font. It will open another
window. In the folder panel, browse to the directory where you unzipped shusha.zip
e.g. C:\shusha. The panel above it will list 6 fonts. Click on Select All and
then Select OK.
- Now the fonts have been installed. Restart your browser and you should be able
to see our site properly.
- Unix (All platforms- SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, SGI, IBM AIX,
Linux) Instructions. Note that you do not need root
permissions for installing these fonts. You can install them
in your home directory!
- For X Windows:
- Download fonts - shusha.tar.Z
- Uncompress and untar the file
- This will create a directory called "shusha"
in the current directory.
- For Open Windows:
- Download fonts - news_fonts.tar.Z
- Uncompress and untar the file
- This will create a directory called "news_fonts"
in the current directory.
- Execute the following command in a shell:
- xset +fp <complete path to shusha
directory>
- Note that, the path must be starting from "/"
- You can add the above command in the X server start
up file e.g. .xinitrc.
- Restart the browser
